About Dirty Air Analytics

Welcome to Dirty Air Analytics!

My name is Jordan and like you, am an avid NASCAR fan.

My grandfather and my father loved all types of racing. Drag cars, sprint cars, stock cars, anything with an engine. I grew up watching races all weekend with them, and was even lucky enough to take a few trips to some awesome NASCAR tracks.

My day job deals in data analysis, and I thought this was a fun opportunity to combine two of my hobbies. I started this project over the summer and found it incredibly hard to find large sources of NASCAR related data in an easy to export package.

My goal here at Dirty Air Analytics is to not just create a tool for race fans to be able to make informed picks for races (be it fantasy, DFS, or sports betting), but to ultimately create a historical tool for folks to search historical records in an easy fashion that doesn't require jumping through pages and pages of individual race records.

Most of all, I want this project to be useful, so we are always taking suggestions for new visuals or new data dives!
